A Message from Our Principal
Stay in the Loop and Get Involved!
Dear Beloved Provo High School Community,
I hope this message finds you all in high spirits. I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the warm welcome I’ve received as the new principal at Provo High School. These initial weeks have been truly wonderful, and I’m eagerly looking forward to the exciting journey we’ll share throughout the rest of this school year.
As we step into a new month, I’m thrilled to share that there’s an abundance of vibrant activity taking place here at Provo High. Just recently, we concluded an enriching clubs week, and on the horizon, we have the much-anticipated Homecoming week to look forward to. It’s heartwarming to witness the enthusiasm among our students and parents for getting involved.
In order to ensure you’re well-informed and engaged, I’d like to suggest a few avenues through which you can stay connected. Help us become the number one followed school in Provo School District:
Follow our official Instagram: @phsofficial Stay updated through my principal Instagram: @phsprincipal_alvarez Connect with us on Facebook: Provo High Facebook Page Explore our Provo High School Webpage: Visit Our Website Moreover, there are additional ways for you to actively participate and contribute to our school community:
School Community Council (SCC): We’re excited to invite enthusiastic individuals to join our School Community Council. Currently, there are several open parent positions available. The SCC plays a pivotal role in decisions related to the School LAND Trust Program funds and provides invaluable advisory insights on crucial school matters. Our SCC meetings are held monthly, typically lasting 1-2 hours. If you’re a parent interested in this opportunity, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly via email (kamia@provo.edu) with your name and contact details by September 15th. In the event of more interest than positions, we’ll conduct an election for the vacancies from September 15-22. Our inaugural SCC meeting is slated for early October. Should you have any inquiries, feel free to contact me.
Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA): Another avenue to foster engagement is through our PTSA. They play a pivotal role in organizing various activities, from dances to reflections, senior parties to recognizing our dedicated teachers and staff. Stay in the know by scanning the QR code below:
Your active involvement and presence in our school community are invaluable, and I’m genuinely excited to witness the positive impact we can collectively make. Please remember, my office door and email are always open for any questions, suggestions, or simply to share your thoughts. Together, let’s continue to nurture the spirit of collaboration and excellence that defines Provo High School.
Warmest regards,
Kami Alvarez
